Hey there! We have a client who wishes to be able to tag their VIP patients (this actually means very irresponsible patient – frequent no shows and last minute cancellations etc). They want more than an alert. Is it possible to tag these patients so that it’s easy to see, when the patient calls, that they are a VIP. Or if they wanted to run a list of VIP patients to call for same day appointment openings, a way to classify them?

    Thanks!

Couple options depending on how they want to see it show up . . .

    1. Create a Continuing Care status type. They could attach this status type to the patient as their default and you can run a list of patients with this Continuing Care status.

    2. Put a note in the Patient Note on the Family File. This field is searchable and it will also print on the Route Slip or Visit Form.

    3. Use a Patient Alert (pop-up). Sounds like they don’t want to do this but it is an option.

Thank you Dayna. Which one would be the easiest to spot (I know sometimes it can be easiest to click through the alerts) that is still searchable? Option #1, Continuing Care type (thinking that might mess up their recall status?) or Option #2?

    Thanks!

I like Option #2 because it will be the easiest and it will show up on the Family File, Route Slip, Visit Form and is searchable.
