You could use a continuing care type for this and you would need to tie it to a procedure code in order for it to work properly. The continuing care system is updated when you post a code to the ledger. The Daily Huddle Report will only put a check mark next to the patients name if they have an over due CC with no appointment scheduled and this might not be what you are looking for. The Patient Visit Form will show the CC last visit date, due date and scheduled date for up to 3 CC types. The Route Slip will only show the due date for two CC types.
In Dentrix G7 there is a new Health History update module. They have updated the existing Medical Alerts (red plus) button on the toolbar. It does not link to the Daily Huddle though. It does give a start and end date for medical conditions and active allergies. In my opinion it is not a true Health History because it is not comprehensive enough and there is no signature lines. Also, the Daily Huddle does not indicate which CC type is overdue and unscheduled.
