As a homeowner I frequently have to go through the junk drawer and sort through outdated coupons, get rid of all those extra pens I never use and shred papers that are no longer needed. The same thing goes for my pantry. I have to toss out stale chips and outdated food because I forgot it was hiding behind the Costco size box of cereal. More importantly, this same thing goes for your software database. Over time, you will end up with duplicate insurance plans, unused adjustment types and provider’s that haven’t worked there for 5 years.
Because of all this clutter, it bogs down your system and could potentially lead to inaccurate reports.
